Welcome to our new student!
In September 2026, The Scottish College will welcome a new United Reformed Church student, joining us from south of the border. We are excited to welcome Jim to join our Education for Ministry phase 1 (EM1) group.
A brief introduction from Jim:
My name is Jim Wilson. I have been serving as an Elder at St John’s URC (Warrington), and I am a locally recognised worship leader. My ministry has developed through serving as an Elder, leading worship, and being a professional chaplain over the last 5 years. I am currently both an NHS and care home (MHA) chaplain. Before being called to chaplaincy, I was an environmental scientist (geochemistry) and worked in research and consultancy. I am particularly interested in applied theology and contemplative approaches to prayer and worship. I am married and a father of two teenage boys. I am very much looking forward to learning and developing my ministry at Scottish College.
