College visit in September

In September we are taking our students to northern Italy to visit various congregations and projects managed by the Waldensian Church.  The Waldensians are a pre Reformation Protestant Church formed by followers of an itinerant 12th Century church reformer Peter Waldo.  They are found now in Italy and Switzerland and united with the Italian Methodists in 1975.  They use the church tax that people in Italy pay at the rate of 8 euros per 1,000 euros earned to fund the community projects and the social services the church provides.  This will be a fascinating trip to allow our students to see church in a different context to our own.
